Here are some examples of bird photos taken with the Nikon D800 and the 600mm or 300mm lens in Finland. The weather and light conditions were very poor, so high ISO settings between 1600 – 3200 were necessary.

Same photo as above, but cropped to 100%. Note that the remote trigger release MC-30 was used in combination with the mirror up function to be able to use an exposure time of only 1/250 seconds, but still yielding sharp results at pixel level.
